Am I Pregnant

Am I Pregnant

For a woman who wants to get pregnant, waiting for the pregnancy test result could be difficult and hard. Many emotions run through your system. The difficult part is waiting to know. It is when you can't stop thinking about it, counting days with your fingers, going to the bathroom every now and then to check. But it's even harder to some women who don't want to become pregnant and finds out that she is on her way to motherhood! The thinking of pregnancy could drive a woman crazy- when you hope but it's not, when you want it bad enough yet you're not.

Signs and symptoms of pregnancy could mean something else. Delayed or missed period could mean pressure or menstrual period abnormality, tender breasts could be a premenstrual syndrome, nausea and queasiness might be a cause of food poisoning or fatigue, food craving could be a premenstrual syndrome or simply mean severe hunger. Another presumptive signs include Chadwick's sign or the bluish mark of the vaginal tissue, existence of stretch marks in the abdomen area, increased pigmentation like a black line that is present in the center of a woman's abdomen and quickening which is the observation of fetal movement. These probable signs and symptoms alone can drive a woman insane.

So what is the best step to do in order for a woman to a have a precise result? Though urine-based pregnancy tests are cheap and available in drug stores, it is still best to consult with an obstetrician. Urine-based tests are not always accurate as some urine does not show pregnancy hormones too early. An ultrasound or blood-based tests is always the best option and you can do this with the help of an obstetrician.

Do not stress yourself much with assumptions that make you expect and hope and eventually frustrate you. To have a healthy lifestyle regardless of being pregnant or not, you quit smoking, doing drugs or alcohol drinking. Eat healthy meals with the right amount of food everyday and have an IUD removed and stop taking birth control pills. Their effects do something to your hormones which causes your period to stop. IUD can cause serious complications like hemorrhage, infection, and damage of the uterus and in worse cases, may produce sterility and to some, even death.

Missing your period doesn't always follow that you are pregnant, there could be other things going on inside you. Remember, the only way to answer the question if you are pregnant or not is have a pregnancy test. So if you are confused, have it checked now.
